Purple! The Official Trend of 2011!

We've seen it crop up here and there over the last few years, but now that we're nearly halfway into 2011, it's safe to say that purple is here to stay. Paired with almost any other hue, purple always maintains the qualities of richness, timelessness, and class.

But why is it making such a deliberate comeback? Maybe it has something to do with its historical significance. Purple used to be one of the most expensive pigments to make, and therefore was only donned by royalty or high religious officials. Purple evoked a sense of regality, and today it represents posh elegance.
